1. What kind of pets do you allow? Do you permit exotic pets?

We allow fish (30-gal tank maximum), cats and dogs. Rottweiler, Pit Bull, Doberman, Bullmastiff, Saint Bernard, and Great Dane purebred and/or mixed breeds are prohibited. Exotic pets are strictly prohibited.

2. How many pets may I have?

You are allowed up to 2 pets (cats, dogs, fish)

3. Are there any deposits, special fees, or monthly charges to have a pet?

One-time pet rent of $300. There are no monthly fees associated with having a pet.

4. Is my security deposit totally refundable?

Yes, if there are no damages or any outstanding debt on your account.

5. If I get a job transfer, can I break the lease?

You can break the lease with a termination fee equal to two months' rent.

6. What utilities are included in my lease?

Heat and Hot Water.

7. How long is the term of the lease?

The standard lease term is twelve months.

8. Do you accept leases for short terms?

No.

9. If something needs to be repaired in my apartment, how do I report it?

If you have a service request, you can call the management office at 401-942-4455 or visit the management office during regular office hours Mon-Fri 9:00AM to 5:00PM, and Sat 10:00AM to 4:00PM.

10. When is my rent payment due?

Rent is due the first day of each month.

11. What day of the month am I liable for a late charge?

As of the 6th of every month.

12. Will you accept electronic payments from my bank?

No. However in most cases if you use online banking you can add Garden City Apartments as a recurring payment and have a check sent to the management office each month.

13. Is there a place where I can pay my rent after office hours?

After hours you can put your rent check in the drop box located just outside the management office. Please note your check with your apartment number and place the check in an envelope before putting it in the rent drop box. We cannot accept starter checks or any personal check numbered below 100.

14. There is a person who might be staying with me for a while, is that permitted by the lease?

Anyone occupying the apartment must fill out an application and be approved to reside in the apartment.

15. Do you have reserved parking?

No, we offer off-street parking behind the buildings. We also offer garages for an additional monthly fee.

16. I have a motorcycle, where can I park it?

You may park it in the parking lot or rent a garage.

17. My children live with me in the summer; do I need to notify your office when they arrive?

Yes.

18. Can I install my satellite dish at my apartment?

No, however we are wired for Verizon FIOS.

19. Do you have cable services?

Yes, Verizon or Cox Communications.

20. Will you accept my delivery packages for me?

Yes. We will accept packages of a limited size. You may pick up packages during regular office hours. We cannot accept certified letters, perishables, consumer electronics, or oversized packages.

21. Do you have a list of Preferred Employers?

No.

21. Where do I register to Vote?

You can register to vote at Cranston City Hall, located at 869 Park Ave, Cranston, RI.

22. How is your property different from the competition?

1) We offer hardwood floors throughout all of our apartment homes.
2) We are located in the heart of Cranston, next to Garden City Centre.
3) Our property is park-like, situated on 5.16 acres.
